2025 at Chula Vista Golf Course: A Year of Growth, Community, and Momentum
2025 marked a milestone year at Chula Vista Golf Course — one defined by record-breaking events, meaningful course improvements, and exciting growth across food, beverage, and community offerings. From packed brunches and holiday celebrations to course upgrades and a thriving clubhouse, this year showcased the continued evolution of CVGC as more than just a place to play golf.
Record-Breaking Events & Community Traditions
One of the standout moments of 2025 was our Easter Brunch, which drew record attendance and became the most successful Easter event in course history. Families filled the clubhouse for a festive celebration featuring a full brunch buffet, kids activities, and seasonal traditions — reinforcing the golf course’s role as a true community gathering space.
Equally memorable was Breakfast with Santa, which once again proved to be a holiday favorite. With a warm, welcoming atmosphere, family photos with Santa, and festive food and drinks, the event brought generations together and quickly became one of the most anticipated traditions of the year. The strong turnout and enthusiastic response made it clear: holiday experiences at CVGC continue to resonate deeply with our guests.
Throughout the year, we also hosted multiple sold-out Breakfast with Bluey events, welcoming families from across the community and introducing many first-time visitors to the course.
Slice Society: A Cornerstone of the CVGC Experience
The successful reopening of Slice Society, our on-site restaurant, was one of the most impactful developments of 2025. Since reopening, the restaurant has been thriving — serving golfers, families, and locals alike and quickly becoming a destination of its own.
Slice Society now offers Happy Hour every day from 2–5 PM, Monday through Sunday, plus all-day Happy Hour on Sundays, making it an easy stop whether you’re finishing a round or simply stopping by to enjoy food and drinks. The restaurant has also complemented our events calendar, providing food and beverage service for brunches, celebrations, and private gatherings throughout the year.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand access even further with the upcoming launch of a food delivery app, allowing guests to enjoy Slice Society favorites more conveniently than ever before.
A Growing Destination for Private Events
In addition to public events, 2025 saw an increase in successful private events hosted in our clubhouse. From quinceañeras and birthday celebrations to private parties and special gatherings, the CVGC clubhouse proved to be a versatile and welcoming venue for life’s biggest moments.
With scenic views, flexible event space, and on-site food and beverage options through Slice Society, the clubhouse has become a popular choice for guests looking to celebrate in a unique setting.
Continued Investment in the Course
Behind the scenes, our team continued investing in course quality and player experience. Several holes received new sod in 2025, improving turf conditions and playability, with additional sod replacement planned for next spring as part of ongoing course enhancements.
We also introduced key equipment upgrades, including:
A fixed driving range ball machine, improving efficiency and reliability
A new greens mower, supporting smoother, more consistent putting surfaces
These improvements reflect our long-term commitment to maintaining a course golfers can enjoy year-round.
Promotions, Beers of the Month & Staying Connected
Throughout 2025, golfers enjoyed creative seasonal promotions — including our popular 12 Days of Savings, which delivered daily holiday deals across golf, food, and merchandise. In addition, our rotating Beer of the Month program ran all year long, offering guests something new to enjoy each visit.
Many of these specials were shared through our email campaigns, making our email list the best way to stay informed about upcoming events, promotions, and exclusive offers throughout the year.
Growing the Game with Youth Golf
We were proud to support the next generation of golfers through KemperSports Youth Golf Week, helping introduce young players to the game in a fun, welcoming environment. Programs like these reinforce our commitment to growing the game and strengthening our community connections.
